About Me
Welcome to my first food blog, after years of reading hundreds of blogs I finally put my foot down and decided to share my own cooking experiences with the world. Even though I’m a total newbie to the blogging world, my love for food the day I could reach the stove. I briefly trained at the Culinary Institute of America and have had the honor of working with many talented chefs. I don’t consider myself as a professional chef at all, but my restaurant experience has only fueled my love for food and sharing them with my friends and family.

I’ll be the first to admit that I am a food obsessed geek who spends way too much time sifting through cookbooks, trying new recipes, and exploring the complex world of food science. I love kitchen gadgets, I have hard time stopping myself from purchasing every new toy I see at Williams Sonoma, even the baby food maker seemed enticing. But as much as I love new kitchen toys, I also have a nact for finding new ways to use ancient kitchen tools. So don’t be alarmed when I use an old oven rack to cool things it’s just my ghetto version of a “cooling rack.”

During the week I am a web and graphic designer and I try to fill my weekends with adventurous cooking extravaganzas. Cooking is all about developing flavors, so I try my best to use high quality ingredients whenever possible. As much as I love food I’m pretty health conscious so I’ll tweak certain recipes to fit a more “balanced” diet BUT sometimes we really just have to feed our cravings. I’m not one to follow recipes to the T, the key is to taste and season as the dish cooks and it’s done when YOU think it tastes good because at the end of the day aren’t YOU the one enjoying these meals?

why brunch?
We can all agree that there is nothing more wonderful than waking up late on the weekends knowing that we don’t have to rush out the door and scarf down a granola bar for breakfast. That being said, my favorite meal is brunch. It’s a meal where I can just about eat anything that I am craving, whether it’s sweet, savory or a combination of both. The possibilities are endless. I’ve also been curious as to what other cultures eat during this mid morning/afternoon meal. So gather around friends, because we’re about to embark on a journey to discover the best homemade brunches!

Cheers & until next time Happy Brunchin’

Ahhhh… wonderful idea. Brunch for a theme really does leave you open to all sorts of possibilities without straying from the theme. 🙂
